This Apollo 7 cover has been hand signed by Astronaut Walt Cunningham, and is postmarked Oct 11th 1968, Cape Canaveral, Fl. Apollo 7 was the first manned flight since the tragic loss of the Apollo 1 crew, and their primary mission was to demonstrate how well the command and service module (CSM), crew performance, space vehicle and mission support facilities performed during a crewed CSM mission, as well as to demonstrate CSM rendezvous capability.
