This official Apollo 9 Pin is 1 inch in diameter and was manufactured by AB Emblem. Apollo 9 was the 3rd manned launch of the program and the first to test the lunar module. The crew consisted of Commander Jim McDivitt, Lunar Module Pilot Rusty Schweickart and Command Module Pilot Dave Scott. After the launch on March 3, 1969, the crew performed their first manned flight of a Lunar Module, the first docking and extraction of a Lunar Module, as well as two spacewalks, and the second docking of two manned spacecraft.
