It is one of the oldest pre-Saharan cities and represents an incredible example of a traditional settlement, with the old town designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. This Gadamis 005 meteorite slice exhibits a beautiful pure anorthosite that blends seamlessly into breccia. This particular meteorite is similar in appearance and composition to the moon rocks returned by the astronauts on Apollo 16.
