The Space Shuttle Program, otherwise known as the Space Transportation System, had a fleet of six space shuttles, they were Discovery, Challenger, Columbia, Atlantis, Endeavour and Enterprise. The program ran between 1981 and 2011 and were responsible for ferrying astronauts to and from the International Space Station, and to deploy and maintain satellites.
