This Gemini 4 Pin is 1 inch in diameter and was produced by the official NASA patch manufacturer, AB Emblem. Gemini 4 was the second mission under the Gemini Program and launched on June 3, 1965. Command Pilot Jim McDivitt and Pilot Ed White orbited the Earth 66 times in their Gemini spacecraft, and it was during this mission when the first American spacewalk took place. Ed White exited the Gemini capsule as McDivitt remained in the command pilot seat.
